Welcome to the East Archive.

You can watch a playlist of all the videos below, or go to the Archive page to browse all the clips. You can also search categories or tags (you can find this function in the sidebar on the desktop site or the footer on the mobile version). Categories will organise the material by genre (e.g. “traditional story”), tags give you the option to search by the name of the teller or singer, or by provenance (e.g. “Bangladeshi story”) or by sub-genre (e.g. “lullaby”). We’re still improving the tagging system, so do please feel free to make suggestions.
